Women’s Initiatives for Safer Environments (WISE) has developed a workshop to engage youth* around the ages of 8-12 in discussions about masculinity, gender norms, and their relation to gender based violence (GBV). This workshop explores possibilities for men and boys to play an active and positive role in ending GBV by challenging the attitudes and beliefs which facilitate and perpetuate gender-based violence.
The workshop uses an interactive approach with skits and games to examine types of violence; the culture of violence; and to develop alternative healthy responses that change this culture.

We really enjoyed your workshop, I feel you were able to engage the kids in some really thought provoking conversations! The kids actually asked me if you would be coming again!"
